How the number is built
Most as is buyers price a house by taking a percentage off what it would sell for fixed up. We are the contractor who would be doing the work, so we already know what the repairs on your house cost. One walkthrough, then a number.
Nothing about that walkthrough commits you. If listing would put more in your pocket, we say so while we are standing in the house, and plenty of people go on to do exactly that.
What we will and will not do
We buy two or three houses a month. That is the capacity of one crew, and it means we are not desperate for any single house. We will not send you a number with nothing behind it, and we will not follow up after you say no. Plenty of people say no.
If a renovation is what you actually want, that is the other half of the business, and it is the same crew doing the same work. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole home remodels and rental turns, with the permits pulled.
What happens to the houses
A roof, mechanicals, a kitchen, whatever else the inspection says, and then back into the neighborhood as somebody's house. Very few get a quick flip. Rushing the work is how a house ends up needing us again in five years.
Who is behind it
All Things Home is owned and run by Chris Livingston, a contractor who was building and fixing houses long before buying any. The buying side grew out of the building side: after enough calls to houses that needed more work than the owner could take on, it made sense to start buying some of them and doing the work in house. The person who calls you back works for the company that walks your house, not a call center.
Where we work
Sioux Falls, Brandon, Harrisburg, Tea, Hartford, Lennox, Dell Rapids, Crooks, Baltic and Canton. If you are a little outside that and the house is a fit, send it anyway; the worst case is a quick no.
